For The Sake of an Update

Wow. After two months of silence I am blogging again. I can’t believe it! If any of you were wondering, I am alive and well. And if any of you are still reading…thank you!

I am not sure why I haven’t been blogging. Things have been pretty much the same. We eat peanut butter and jelly, play with cars, and do the same things we did before, which at the moment seem to be only eating pbjs and playing cars. (We must do other things, we must. But what are they?). Oh well.

Some highlights from the last two months:

1. Jacob is potty trained! Wohoooo! Honestly, I was totally dreading it. I thought it would be this enormous ordeal to potty train my son, but turns out, if you wait till they’re almost three, it’s pretty easy peasy (for the most part). We are still working on #2, in case you wanted to know.

2. Darrell and I had a mini getaway to Orlando for the annual Chick-fil-A Operator Seminar. It was fantastic. Everyday we were busy from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., but with no kids to worry about and all sorts of awesome young couples to mingle with, we had an amazing time. Martina McBride even stopped in to sing us a few songs!

3. … Hmmm….guess you didn’t miss too much!

In other news, I’ve been doing an inductive Bible study on Romans 8 and it has been eye-opening. It’s amazing what you can learn about Jesus, our heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit, even after being a Christian for so many years. We must be so dense. Anyway, I hope to write more on that later. I am still processing, and processing is good.

Well, I guess that’s it. Here’s to hoping I can get back into blogging! 🙂

Welcome back to the bloglands! Congrats on the potty training, and I’m pretty jealous about you getting to hear Martina live. She’s a fabulous singer! We’ve been doing a verse by verse study of John that’s been getting interesting; there’s so much to learn about who Jesus is within just the first few verses. 🙂

Welcome back! I also waited with my son. I think he was 2 years 9 months and he basically trained himself in 3 days. I just let him run around naked and after one accident, he ‘got’ it. That is amazing about Martina McBride, wow!

Last year at this exact time, I was doing a study on Romans 8 too! Crazy 🙂 It was SOOOO needed and God still uses that 40 day timeframe of being inundated with Romans 8 in my life. I mean, who doesn’t daily need to remember, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus?!”

On another not-so-spiritual note, when we get to talk again, I wanna hear more about potty training. Owen doesn’t seem ready but it’s on my radar and I’m trying to talk more to moms of boys and just get some input.

Glad to read a Brooke Blog again 🙂

Thanks Amy!! It’s good to be blogging again 🙂 WE will have to chat about Romans 8. Which one did you do? The title of mine is called Mindset, learning and living the will of God. It is really really good! Hope we can chat again soon!
