I’ve never been a morning person.
But, these past few weeks I have been getting up at 6 am–before my kids. It’s pretty much a miracle. And I am so thankful that God truly cares about the mundane, the details of our lives (Psalm 37:23). I am thankful that He doesn’t just do grand miracles like giving sight to the blind, but He also does little simple miracles like getting me out of bed each morning (and keeping my kids in theirs).
I may not be able to control much of what happens the rest of today, but I can control what time I get out of bed. I know that if I arise at 6 am, I can sip my coffee in the quiet darkness and get in tune with the God of the Universe.
That’s a great thing, because I could certainly use His help every day.
The demands of motherhood are about to begin…
And I thank God for putting you (and little blessings) into our lives.
